Zoey Liew is the English name I gave myself. It comes from the sound of my Chinese name. There is no elaborate meaning behind it.

Where have I been?

I was born in an ordinary, even somewhat poor, small city in China.

• Childhood: self-important
• Teenage years: pure comparison
• University: restless
• Graduate school: fast switching between black and white

Work has been even more varied: government audit, insurance finance, VC / PE / Pre-IPO investing, livestream commerce investment, and cross-border e-commerce operations.

I am sure I will keep moving into new forms.

Why am I here?

I think I have met people from many layers of society, even though I do not like dividing people into layers. These experiences expanded my perception and gave me a wider view of human society.

But I do not want to keep meeting more people.

I want to know something else: who I am.
